Hi, I'm Sam. I live cartoons. yes, live. Since I was little I've been making flip books and crude claymations, trying to recreate the life that I saw in so many of my favorite shows. It was so fascinating for me to be able to doodle a little character and then make him actually move! Back then it was only a hobby but after going to college (and changing majors 3 times!) I realized that my true passion was in animation.

I ultimately found my home at CU Denver where I majored in Digital Animation. Countless all-nighters and Red Bulls ensued but WOW! The "Digital" part had almost limitless possibilities for creating entire worlds for a character! I learned all the facets for creating computer graphics but I always favored the animation part.

Lately I've been doing freelance graphic design work and looking for my first post-grad design/animation job. I love making design that has flow and seems to move your eyes across the page. It is interesting to get back to design and understand how the simplicity of line and weight can add so much action to a still print.
